STIFFCON ENGINEERING PLC (AKA Seyoum Dawed BC) was first established as SIYOUM DAWED GENERAL CONTRACTOR in the capital city of Addis Ababa. After working in the profession for six consecutive years finally STIFFCON ENGINEERING PLC emerged with a new vision of changing the working trends in the Building Construction Industry. Thus STIFFCON ENGINEERING PLC finally established as category II Building Contractor by the year 2007 E.C.

Technical and Administration units of the company, who administer the day-to-day activities of the Engineering and Administration sectors of the firm. The General Manager is the executive body of the firm responsible for decision-making, policy issues, technical issues and coordination of other units.

The Project Engineers are further assisted by experienced Foreman, who are assigned on site to administer the day-to-day activities of the project. The project manager will be responsible for the programming of the day-to-day construction activities of the project by organizing the labor, material and equipment and evaluation of performances as well. He directs the Foremen with the objective of assuring quality product and timely completion of each unit of work accordingly with the present schedule.

In the future, we will focus on capacity building in general and specifically on building-up of reputation, staff development, systems design and improvement, quality control, costing and modern construction techniques.

Safety Education and Training

The company will adopt training facilities for the project which is to be provided in cooperation with the implementation agency in safety measures to the workers and to all management staff of the project. The purpose of this training is to induce cure in the use of dangerous tools or in carry out risk operation.

The Detail Environmental and safety program will be mentioned in the management strategy and Implementation Plan (MSIP) documents.
